Jasper Prachek

Jasper Prachek is a photographer whose passion for taking pictures began during the late 70s when he decided to use his camera to record the moment that punk broke in the UK.
This recently uncovered archive of photographs gives a vivid account of what it was like to be caught in the glaring white heat of a musical revolution.
Prachek was present at many key gigs of the the late 70s and his collection includes, among others, stunning images of the kinetic energy of the Clash, the righteous fury of Paul Weller and the Jam, plus the outright rock ‘n’ roll belligerence of the Ramones in full flight.
Jasper Prachek is a life long music lover who now lives in Sheffield with his family, where he continues to pursue his passion for photography.
