Lizzie Jackson......Go to Gallery

Lizzie Jackson was born in Muswell Hill, London, in August 1945. After studying for her BA in Fine Art at Hornsey College of Art, she went on to work as a House Designer for a kitchenware manufacturer. Her designs were sold in Selfridges, Liberty and Fenwicks, in London. During the 1970s, Lizzie worked in the fashion industry as a model and continued to pursue her creative passions by designing “anything from housewares to accessories and hats”. In 1985, Lizzie moved to Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk with her young daughter Kate, but it was only later when Kate left for university and to pursue a singing career as front woman of Sheffield’s legendary Long Blondes that Lizzie began to concentrate solely on her artwork again.

The world of Lizzie Jackson is populated by sexy, colourful, voluptuous women surrounded by adoring men. Her fun-loving and honest style delights in social scenes, either at the beach or in the bar. Brazen, cheeky and bold, Lizzie’s work celebrates the vibrant rhythm of life. Lizzie’s paintings have been exhibited at several galleries in East Anglia and Bury St Edmunds.
