Simon Welford

Working out of Leicester in the UK, Simon’s work has been gaining popularity in recent years, mainly due to the use of his work by musicians for commercial use bringing his artwork in to the limelight.

Working in many mediums including painting and digital print, his abstract works have sold well both in the UK and overseas. Simon’s work for the UK band Ride has proved very popular with fans, selling well globally and leading to much interest in his overall work. His work for Ride was also used in the movie “Upside Down – The Creation Records Story”, which hit cinemas in 2011. Simon is mentioned in the film credits and also had the honour of walking down the red carpet at the London premiere in Leicester Square.

During 2010 and 2011 Simon has held successful art exhibitions in the UK and Australia. These include 'Creations', a joint exhibition with fellow artist Alex Lowe. A hometown exhibition in November 2011 attracted rave reviews and the exhibition was visited by band members from Ride alongside legendary Creation Records owner Alan McGee.

Simon Welford continues to create imaginative and creative pieces which are available for exhibition and sale and will be added to the website as and when available. Simon is now concentrating mainly on his abstract painting and holding further exhibitions in cities around the world as he continues to try and build upon his reputation as an artist.
