Rolf Harris writes; "I painted this scene completely from my imagination, It started with a lot of unused paint on my palette at the end of a painting session. Rather than waste it, I randomly spread the different colours with a palette knife across a blank canvas. The next few times I had paint left over, I did the same again and realised that this could become a landscape. Stormy sky and blue hills were added and eventually the trees which are so familiar in my minds eye."
